How We Choose Products

StyloPaws exists to save pet owners time and help them avoid poor buys. Here is exactly how we decide what to recommend — and what we don't do.

What we look at

• Fit for purpose. Does the product do its job well for the pet it's meant for? A beautiful bed is no good if it isn't supportive.
• The maker's published details. Ingredient lists, guaranteed analysis, materials, sizes and safety information, read directly from the brand.
• Expert guidance. We check our advice against veterinary and animal-welfare organisations such as the AVMA, AAFCO, the Cornell Feline Health Center, the ASPCA and the House Rabbit Society, and link to them where it matters.
• Track record. We favour established products with a long history of use over brand-new launches.
• Trade-offs. Every product page lists what we like and what to keep in mind, plus who should skip it.

What we don't do

• We don't accept payment for placement. Brands can't buy a spot or a better ranking.
• We don't copy Amazon reviews or descriptions. Everything on this site is written in our own words.
• We don't claim hands-on testing we haven't done. Our picks are based on research, published specifications and expert guidance.
• We don't give veterinary advice. For your pet's health, diet changes or symptoms, always talk to your vet.

Keeping things current

Products change. We review our pages regularly and show the date each page was last reviewed. If a product is reformulated or discontinued, we update or remove it.
